When no extension fits, we write the module

Most stores reach a point where the requirement is theirs alone: a pricing rule, an export your ERP expects, an admin screen that matches how the team works. Bending a general-purpose extension to fit usually costs more than writing the right module.

We write custom Magento 2 modules the way the framework intends: plugins and observers instead of core edits, service contracts, declarative schema, tests around the logic that matters. The code lives in your repository and is documented for whoever works on it next.

    No core edits

    Behaviour changes through plugins, observers and Magento’s own interfaces. A module that edits core files breaks at the next upgrade, so we do not write them.

    Luma and Hyvä

    Storefront features ship with templates for both front ends, so a Hyvä store does not need a compatibility add-on.

  3. 03

    Readable and documented

    Coding standard and static analysis on every change, and documentation that lets another developer pick the module up.

  4. 04

    You talk to the developer

    Questions and support tickets go to the people who wrote the module, not to a help desk reading from a script.

SoftAware Commerce was founded by Emrah Sami Uyanık, who has worked as a Magento and Adobe Commerce developer since 2011 and holds the Adobe Certified Professional, Adobe Commerce Developer credential.

The modules we sell and the modules we write for clients come from the same small UK team, to the same standard. You talk to the developers, not to a sales layer.

What does SoftAware Commerce do?

SoftAware Commerce Ltd is a UK company that builds Magento 2 extensions and custom Magento 2 modules. Our own extensions are sold in the extension store and work with Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce, on Luma and Hyvä storefronts. When a requirement is specific to one business, we write a custom module for it.

Are your Magento extensions compatible with Hyvä?

Yes. Extensions with storefront features include templates for Hyvä as well as Luma and themes based on it, and the right template is picked automatically. Admin-only extensions do not touch the storefront, so the theme makes no difference. Each product page lists the Magento, PHP and Hyvä versions it supports.

How do I install a SoftAware extension?

With Composer. After purchase you get access keys for our Composer repository, add the repository to your project and run composer require, then the usual Magento setup commands. A zip download is available as well. The Composer access page walks through each step.

Should we buy an extension or have a custom module written?

Buy a well-maintained extension when the requirement is common, such as social sign-in. Have a module written when the requirement is specific to your business, or when an extension would bring far more code than the feature needs. Every installed extension adds upgrade and security work, so fewer, better modules is the goal.

How is custom module development priced?

We agree a written specification first: what the module does, how it is configured and how it will be tested. You then receive a fixed price against that specification before any code is written. If the requirement changes, the change is written down and priced before anyone acts on it.
